Infinite
Artist Statement
How to survive silence after living in a storm? When you can finally stand, what does it mean to ‘find peace’? What does it look like, in practice, to be free?
These three works, entitled ""Moment of Silence"", ""Becoming"", and “Infinite”, follow a personal journey through psychological and bodily trauma. Of searching, grasping, and at times collapsing under the weight of emotional pain, politicized existence and social identity. Of finding truth in liminality; manifesting acceptance and grace, in each thought and action, in every moment, and every day.
Through abstract interplays of light, shadow, line and form, I attempt to capture the rich complexity of our experience on Earth, and interrogate our volatile relationship to the universe of unknowns. I hope to inspire comfort and solidarity as we move in our shared journeys of struggle, growth, and surrender.
